KATE WALKER – BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
Born: 1950
Place: Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. Kate Walker
Previous Occupations: Before becoming a Writer I worked as a Shirtmaker, a Waitress, a Restaurant Manager, a Stock Controller, a TAB Clerk & an Offset Printer.
How I started writing: I began writing professionally in 1977 after a camper-van tour of Australia with my husband and daughter. During that trip I started making up bed-time stories for my daughter and found I really liked doing it. Then when I came home, I began to write down my stories and realized – hey, I love doing this! That was it, I wanted to be a writer.
